They look great Foothills!! Do they just get window sun?

My Mind Bender and Early Durban stretched bad in the window so they went under some cheap T-8 shop lights in the chilly basement. Hoping to get them outside in mini green house soon.Winter is back today with some snow:roll:
FJC and Special Kush #1 cracked and went into cups today. Still waiting on the Church and Big Bang.

Thanks man, I figured since we don't have any big outside plants yet, we might just as well have something to look at !
My girls are usually under 200 watts CFL in front of a reflector, for now anyway. Probably within a week that 200 watts will go up to 400 watts. I like getting them in the windows when I can, south window gets pretty hot behind it, so I simply rotate around to the west window, when the sun is lower. They will stretch bad, in the windows sometimes, reaching for that sunshine. I wouldn't want the girls living in the window all the time I don't think.

I'm lucky to live out in sticks, It's been 20 years now and once I did it, I never looked back. I love every bit of it !! :eyesmoke:

You find a decent spot yet? I have a few ideas but its just such a worry lol
I got a spot picked out in my mind that I think is a good spot, but there are plenty I can choose from. I'm going back tomorrow to make sure.
I worry the most about lugging the soil a mile. That's why I only got 3 plants, lol but I pretty much grew up in the woods where I will be planting.

It rained, hailed, and snowed today. lol

Hopefully things start getting better in May.
I want to have my holes dug, and filled at least 2 weeks ahead of time. Still plenty of time left.

True, lol alot of digging ahead my friend
Hopefully it pays off :)
I'm just going to use potting soil, compost, and some perlite. My holes will be around 2 feet deep, and 2 or 3 feet in diameter.
The plants will have snail killer, and a little wire fence around them. lol
I'll probably visit once a week or so to make sure they are good.

Hey Jimmer, you mentioned earlier in the thread that you veg for a long time and it effects flowering. In what way do you think it effects them? Not questioning your logic, just curious if it helps them flower sooner or later.

And about the woods compared to the wide open, I would agree with the woods flowering sooner. I had one in the wide open and the rest in the woods and the wide open flowered last by 7-10 days but yielded the most. They were all from the same bagseed strain we had. Another thing I noticed is the woods protects from frost a bit compared to the wide open. The wide open plant shook off frosty leaves without missing a beat in mid September last year though.
Ive found that plant that get going earlier and are most mature flower earlier.

Some people have had success with deep planting stretched plants to develop more roots and to keep the wobble factor low.

If the stalk is not woody yet, you might consider a transplant where the elongated stalk is buried, thus stabilizing the plant and causing add'l. roots to form. Good luck and stay safe.

Ya I read through a sticky about it and transplanted the stretchy ones into some deeper cups. They were only 10 days old or so, so hopefully they will be fine.

I went back and found two different locations in the same area. It's an old gravel pit that has grown over, and looks like regular forest.
There's one place that's a long mound of dirt, and small rocks that was pushed there by a dozer, and left to grow up. It's about 50 feet long, 15 feet high, and 6 feet wide at the top.
When I stand on it I'm not too far below the tree tops, but there is good cover, and sun all day. I plan to put two plants on top of that. lol
The second spot is in a small clearing not too far away, with sunlight pretty much all day too.
I got two holes dug 2 feet deep, 3 feet diameter with a stick! That's how easy it was to dig:)
I may go deeper.
