So i have this girl that got vegged for 7 weeks and has been main lined, it was a mutant plant.. only topped three times and ended up with 12 mains, it was a 3 noded plant.

Is there anything i need to do to this plant or just let her grow out now? eg trim out small buds ?
Its under a area51 xgs190 and in soil.

What you've experienced there is a polyploid.

Just make sure there is plenty of air movement as they can get dense with foliage.

Only time will tell how she will perform.

I had a polyploid once and it was my biggest yielder. 156g dry at 2.5ft tall.

God damn, lol.
Yeah, that seems to be some of the problem is a bit of water settling on the leaves from them over lapping each other.
I've cut the low shoots that won't get any light away for now but the ones getting light i should just leave yea?

So do i trim the small buds coming off low on the main nodes? they're getting light.. but do i cut em off? or just let them grow out.

Sorry it took long to get back to you.

I generally remove quite a lot of lower growth anyway.

You are best judged to make the call on how much to trim off. Unfortunately every polyploid is different. Some stack a lot of weight all over, others just to the poly tops.

If you think air flow is being hindered then remove some growth.

I try not to remove more than about 25% of plant material in one sitting.

Generally I space it out over about a week to create the structure I'm looking for.

This is a pic of my final structure at the end of 2 weeks of 12/12.

Picture is of my current 4 headed mainline BLUE DREAM.

Hah it's fine , no one else is helping anyhow.
Oh yep, I'm 3 weeks into flower now so don't want to remove any growth?
I've put a computer fan blowing air between the light and plant and semi moving the plant so air flow is now good.. I'll upload new photos tmrw sometime.

You could remove spindly growth now if you felt the need.

I try to keep around 10-18" of growth on the tops of my plants due to me using a 400w lamp.

Its all estimation though as the plants do tend to still grow virtically even after the stretch so its a best guess to remove lower growth and make sure you're leaving enough at the upper regions.

IMO mainline isn't really about a yield increase, IMO its more about quality increase.

The quality of my finished buds from top cola to bottom popcorn is now much better and consistent. Density and weight are good.

Good job on getting the fan on that polyploid.
Hah thanks, i think she needed it. The water has stopped forming between leaves now.

Yeah, i just like the fact that they're all going to be roughly even and more stable quality over the whole plant.
Heres some updated photos, I think shes coming along real nice, all the buds you can see are pretty much even canopy.
All the outside buds are off the main colas, all the insides are from the 3rd node up the mains.. i cut some of the lower ones off, but left the ones that were high enough to reach light..Should i cut the rest off that are reaching light and just leave the main colas or what?
This is only my third grow, i'm so stoked on how its turned out so far!
