My new apartment only has 1 circuit from what im told by the electrician working on it right now, i have 2 1000w power supply computers that are usually running at full power 6-7 hours a day, Tv's, yadda yadda. Will running 2 window a/c's + 600w light and some pumps cause any fires or anything serious? Need some advice, maybe not to move into this place?

You need to find out the capacity of that circuit dude. If you wanna grow, this does not sound like the place. Get an apt with a 60 amp service. Try and find a place with electrical included then the panel is the limit, not some crappy 20amp single circuit. you will thank yourself and, possibly, me :peace:

That sounds sketchy... What happens if you also want to microwave something (1500 watts)? Or your lady friend blow dries her hair (1,300+ watts)? Or you want some toast (1,200+ watts)?

You REALLY want a dedicated circuit...

the load is expressed in amps.

Each curcuit has a breaker, my apartmant has like 5 of them.

there could be a shut off in the basement and a breaker box in the apartment.

Pictures would be helpfull

dude, the landlord is saving money by running a sub-panel for his tenants. He is giving everyone 20 amps max. I've seen this crap. Landlord is saving on an upgrade to a 200 amp panel. Run, don't walk, run. You will be stuck for a year, cursing having signed a lease. Don't do it to yourself. Your one year older self will thank you. If he doesn't then he's an ingrate :)

peace, kill em....softly

Hey,

I just bought a house with a 100 amp service. The house is very small like 700 sq feet.... In one of the closets Im setting up a 2 plant dwc 600 hps, am I ever gonna run into overload problems or anything?
