As long as things are in order, as far as your environment & you staying ontop of things a lb is no problem. I just pulled 9.5 in a 3'w-2'd area....a few years ago I was gonna run out & buy a big tent until I followed some 1 on here pull 11.5 in an area slightly smaller than mine.

it took me a couple years but I fine tuned my grow area & finally got a yield im proud of !

Its about understanding your plants, knowing and optimizing your method (mine being dwc) and utilizing your grow space efficiently. The top colas produce more weight than the bottom limbs because they get the most light and with watts being weight, the best technique would be a sog or scrog depending on what you prefer. If your doing a sog/scrog then you should use a super hood for better light distribution over the whole canopy rather than a regular hood which is designed for penetration as well as shave off any nodes that aren't popping through the trellis( this is known as lollipoping). In dwc it is a must that you do not over fertilize or else you will get root rot usually before you get nute burn. There is a whole load of factors that come into play that even with spending hours on here doing research you may not even see coming until it happens. The point is to over come those obsticles learn from them and try to prevent them from ever happening again. The best growers I know have been and will always be the ones who have been doing it for years and even they have problems that come up from time to time.

Is there a trick to this? Do u need a whole nutrient line? Biggest plant ive gotten was 4oz off a 600w.
I think you should maybe get a strain dialed in before you use that much light you're pulling less than 1/4 g per watt which is really unfortunate. :(

What was your setup like here?

Sometimes higher powered lights cause problems with great and things and it may be better to get something smaller to learn a bit before you spend whatever you are on electricity to get a pretty low yield.

It was my first grow and that was one plant. I had 3 others under the 600w that got around 3oz. Been around 3-4 since per plant. It wasnt a great gpw.

I also never got a plant dialed in. I bought the genetics I got my biggest plant on and now that ive had a few grows under my belt i should be able to up the number.

3 oz per plant isn't terrible depending on cycle time. But 3 oz total off a 600 is ungood lol. You should be able to get 6 or so 3 to 4 oz plants under a 600. I run 2 to 3 plants under a 600 but am pulling 8 to 12 oz per plant, big bud can do pound plants easy with my cycle, just to give you an idea of what a 600 is actually capable of. I run into more problems with plants being too big than being too small.

If you're getting 300+ grams out of a 600 I think that's what has been determined acceptable, but low. So if you have 3+ 4 oz plants you'd be right on par.

Sounds like you're doing better now though. And if you want to pull more off them just veg longer.

I was under the impression that you pulled a qp total off the 600. Sorry I misunderstood.

I would if I could but plant count where I'm at is a big deal. Max is 24 in any combo of life stage. Other wise they leave you be. I dont do well in stripes or behind bars so I try not to risk it.
