Have you every tried any orange bud before?
Back in the day (UKwise) orange bud was very popular at one stage, hardly see it much now.

It's a nice mellow smoke and really good high from it, quite smooth too.
Grinds really well when cured well, almost fluffs up.
Tastewise is does have slight citrus taste, but nothing major.

Is meant to be very easy to grow, how far along are you on your grow?

I just have the beans and have not popped them yet. (Dutch passion)

Summer here is brutal and I don't do much then.

I haven't knowingly smoked orange bud yet but the reason I picked it up is for old school purposes. I am not chasing the citrus lol! Good thing it doesn't take like crazy oranges.

I read that one of the parents is Skunk and that this particular strain has a very unique and rich skunky taste. Since the mid 90's I have chased a skunk strain that was so overpowering with its smell, it simply could not be contained. In Minnesota we called it Northern Lights numer 5 but I don't think that was its proper lineage.

Anyway, I really enjoy skunk plant characteristics and am still searching for the NL #5 taste that had back when.

MasterKush has a skunk parent and has given me some of the best cheese tasting phenos ever. I am also searching the cheese strains to see if I can find any phenos of that old school taste.

Long response but that's why I am going to grow OB

I know what you mean by that old school skunk smell, alot of the cheese varitation smell abit like
skunk from years back. But I expect strains are slightly different from location to location, country to country.

The current orange bud I have is nice smell but its not a knockout skunk smell.

Got it, thank you tons for the feedback. Any idea on the breeder?

That old school smell is very hard to find. My buddy had something called I apple jack and it had that deep skunk on the side of the road smell in the background.... Fuck. Where the fuck did that go!?
