What happen if i keep my drip feed system on

This here is currently my Hydroponic grow room in my closet it is surrounded by mylar sheet for reflection and I am growing it in rockwool. I am wondering what would happen if I was to leave my drip feed system running because When I turn on the fan over my plant the rockwool goes dry and the first time this happened the plant died so this is a new plant and I am wondering what could happen if i leave the drip feed system on to wet the rockwool while the fan is running.

I have never worked with those cubes but have read that they can be to wet. Do you have a timer on your water pump that can be adjusted for an on and off cycle?

If you leave it dripping it will completely saturate the rockwool, which is not good for your little ones. Hand watering is ideal in this stage, especially with the possibility of drowning your plants if you mess up. Timer would be next solution, but you would basically need a very accurate (think in seconds) digital timer...

Best bet is hand water for a week or two, then drip to your hearts content.

Their so small right now that you should really only be watering a couple mLs of water, at this stage RH is more important

Youre actually using a dwc system with a 1 " rockwool cube on top. As your drip feed will be dripping almost entirely on your hydroton you can and should leave this type of dripper on all the time.

Although. You should push that dripper down way closer to the hydroton

While this is true for eb and flow or if youre using bigger rockwool cubes. In the type of system it looks like this one is, the dripper is supposed to be on constantly because hydroton doesnt retain much water and dries out quickly.

Then when roots are established into the water in the bucket below you can turn the top feed off completely.

Thank you for your input. I'm glad you came in. My experience is with ebb and flow, could you tell?

From the fact that you were talking about cycling a drip system makes it pretty obvious.
