ELECTRICITY!!!

My room consumes 1389 Kwh per hour during winter and 1139 Kwh per hour during summer at $0.07369 per Kwh tier 1 (Washington State). I never hit tier 2! So I pay roughly $845 per year in electricity give or take a few bucks for my room. I am not big time but I hit 2+ pounds per year which works for me!

( two 600's, 320 watt veg lights, 2 pedestal fans, 2 inline fans, 1 water pump, 1 air pump, 2 timers, 2 oil heaters in winter, 1 window A/C for summer calculated on times only)

How many kWH per month? No worries on the 400, some fish tanks use more.

24kwh per day x 365 /12 = 730kwh per month.

I'm not bothered that I use more power than other homes similar.

Aquariums used to be my hobby.

I know all about how much power they use.

My tank used to have more money spent in the plants than the fish I kept lol.

LOL Told my mom to let me convert one of the three bedrooms into a grow-op, and her mortgage, electric, water, etc would all be free, I'd take my cut, and she would have profit as well. Plus she would not have to touch it, I would stop by 3 times a week to water / trim / clone/ etc... Her response is I don't want to loose my house, yet the bitch smokes?! I'm like, that's ok, you want to work forever? You are not superman mothafucka!!! lol

A 400 watt lamp isn't going to get you blinked at. A single space heater or window AC unit draws more power than that.

I'm running 4x1000w, 12,000 BTU heat pump, 4 fans, dehumidifier, 200w carbon scrubber fan plus the rest of the house and my bill is about $400 p/m. $0.13 kwh

No I don't run electric heating.

My mrs and 2 kids take care of the rest lol. She doesn't work so is home all day. Washing machine, 47" TV, pretty much working constantly and EON are rip off bastards lol.

I pay 24p per kwh for the first 900kwh per quarter and then 14.9p there after.

My monthly DD is £185 for gas and electric.

Depending on where you are in the UK we get different pricing etc.

Yes I can fill you in.

They pay their bills.

If you're in the USA then power is pretty cheap.

If you're in the UK then power is expensive as hell.

With massive grows there is no cheats wAy to get electricity without stealing it.

Steal electricity and suffer the consequences when they find out.

J
There is another way; fuel cells are finally coming of age.

Precisely! Never steal electricity and always pay your bills. Many homes have much higher electricity usage then you suspect, people love their HVAC systems!

Unless you are operating a large scale site I suspect that your utility company just wants to get paid.
I've paid $2000+ bills @ 13.3¢ per kWh. Summertime cooling expenses, nobody said boo. Of course I AM in Colorado, lol

Man europe has some fucked up rates!
No, the difference is that here the rates are subsidized so we don't see- nevermind pay- the real costs. This way they can pay us less, too, and say we don't need more money because our services are subsidized.

I didn't say it makes sense...
