Sweet ..Signs of sex on any?.oh what i would do for 2 pounder seeds ... u mentioned ants, until you see damage on the plant i would do nothing to them, i have heard of things such as capsicum(any pepper core with seeds) water, and tobacco water would drive away the pests, (i have not tried the tobacco water personally) about a week ago i had used pepper water (idk if it will alter my plant tho) and not even squirrels will go by

Default Ants are predators

If they are not eating your plants then they may be feeding on the insect life.
In that case they should be welcome.

Just water the ground. You can mist the leaves with water if you want, but only do it in morning or evening... not in full mid-day sun (the reflection through the water can burn the leaves). There is no reason to do that though. And never mist the actual buds... you don't want to encourage bud rot.

Flowering length is dependent on the strain. Sativas take longer then indicas. Indica's might flower for 8 to 10 weeks, Sativas might be 12 or even 15. A lot of it also depends on what latitude you live at.

My indicas had very noticeable female pre-flowers by late July this year. But indicas are generally earlier then sativas. Last year I grew sativas and they didn't start flowering until late August.

your plants look pretty good. Are you feeding them? If so, what are you feeding them? Which plant is it the ants go to? Where are you located (generally)? were they just stuck strait into the ground, or did you amend it/add top soil? The yellowing/dying leaves could be a sign of lack of certain nutrients, though I would have to see better pics to say. As far as your questions... You can water the entire plant, just not recommended that you water ground and leaves at the same time, and also recommended that you don't water leaves when they are going to be in direct sunlight and its hot. The flower cycle takes as long as you let it, it is different for different plants, but usually 60-90 days (Don't water your leaves/foliar feed your plants during flowering, it will cause mold) depending on the strain and environment). Budding is the flowering process. I would recommend giving your plants a Catalyst and other bloom nutes when your outdoor light cycle hits 12/12, and keep feeding them whatever the recommended doses are. Good luck....

the purple plant with the yellowing leaves (about the ants)? Leave as many fan leaves as you can, as long as you can.... I don't usually trim unless I see PM coming, or the leaves turn more than 40% yellow. After a few weeks into flowering, I slowly work from the bottom of the plant to the top taking the fan leaves (just not too many at any one time). Does your friend make this mix every other week? Is it a compost tea? Those are very good for plants, though you might want to check with your friend about what is going into the mix, to make sure they get enough P and K during the flower cycle.
