First Grow Ever and Outdoors

I decided that going to the clubs was simply crazy given the distance and price of gas. Given the fact that it is not criminal in CA for Medical patients to cultivate a modest supply, I have opted to let mother nature do her magic.

I am using a mix of soils, some of the plants have only potting soil, the others have a "super mix" of potting soil, compost, blood meal, bone meal, and extra perlite. I have the super mix marked with a toothpick in the pots.

Regardless, I started with 14 seedlings and between wild beasts, bugs, and the fact that I uprooted plant #7 today to bring me within guidelines of 6 mature plants, and the fact that I just recently signed into rollitup.org, I thought it befitting to launch a grow log.

Basically, these contenders were started from bagseed. They have essentially been outside plants since I took them out of the paper towel starter.

I would put the age of these plants at 1 -1/2 months. I am hoping they are females.

I am staying "as organic as possible". Bat guano and worm casting tea for food and the sweet Cali sun as my light source.

No, I do not own stock in the Proctor & Gamble (with all the damn Folgers you would think I do - I just happen to drink that brand of coffee).

and you should have put them in the ground. jeff

Costco's Evil Twin Sam actually...

Regardless, putting them into the ground is still feasible,I actually have a pretty nice spot for them I think, under a canopy of bougainvilla...but they are a bit more portable in containers and besides, it grows well in containers from what I understand. I am not adverse to repotting into the the larger gray looking pot. I put the seedling in there to see if I got different growth (it does/did not).

That one also is the super mix, I failed to note that in my first post and it does not have a toothpick.

The day of the photo they were fed a (heavy) guano and worm casting tea. Greened up a bunch but did actually burn the tips on a couple...I went to liberal on the guano and I know it. Won't do that again, but it is nothing to worry about, they are taking it in stride. Think I might go back to a blood meal tea, but the bag says it is insoluble nitrogen...I thought blood meal was completely soluble. The guano appears to be more soluble according to the label, but I would like to use it for flowering and leave the vegging to straight up nitrogen.

-PS I repotted 3 today into 5 gal buckets - will repot at least two more tomorrow and have pics on Sunday again.
