Default Stretching??? Help please!
Two weeks ago I planted five of my thirteen sweet tooth x chemo plants that have been vegging uner a 2 foot, four bulb t5 light fixture, they were slightly smaller than the plants I have vegging now but the nodes on them were just as short.
I planted them in big holes filled with fox farms soil and gave them a dose of pure water and superthrive. Three days later I came back and they were six inches taller, now two weeks later they've grown close to two more feet taller. The bad thing is that the branch nodes are almost 8 inches apart with little single leaf branches coming out compared to the short bushy plants under the t5 bulbs.
When I transplanted them I put them in partial sunlight for a day before I actually did the transplant. Did I possibly let them stretch because I didn't give them enough time to adapt to the sun?
The plants are only supposed to be four or five feet tall so I'm considering using the LST method if they don't start branching out. Any advice or suggestions on the next transplant and what to do with the current plants would be greatly appreciated.
