what's the risk of a small-time, subsistence grow getting caught by helicopter patrols?

i hear about large busts being made by helicopter, do they use it to spot small patches as well?

okay, but a large portion of the big busts i've heard about were because someone phoned into the police, anonymous tips or dumb mistakes really...

just curious, i see people talking about helicopters but of the busts i've read, that is very rarely what leads to it

Odds are a passing helicopter isn't gonna see anything it's not looking for. They seem closer than they are. At 800 feet, a pot plant would look like a clover.

luckily my state is one of the five lowest in terms of marijuana grow ops busted annually, and i've never heard helicopters flying around out here.

just curious about the capabilities of police helicopters and whether they're used solely for large ops or spot and respond to small ones as well, since i haven't heard anything of the latter

they would go for any weed plants they see.. they want to catch anyone..

Try to plant near or under somthing that they have to avoid when in the air.. Towers, bridges Wires etc.. they wont be paying as much attention when flying near those things.... if you spread you plants far apart and tie them down and put them in the ground near other things that stay green in the fall you will reduce the risk alot... it may look good now but when they are the only green thing....hmmm.. also watch that movie to learn about roads and paths and trash etc...
