    Default Problem Solved?

I was very worried my plants were not going to make, but they have been improving everyday since i made some adjustments. At first I thought the problem may have been heat stress but now I think it may be nute burn. The tips of existing leaves are brown and some leaves spiral with the inside part of the leaf drying up and turning brown(looked like a phosphorus deficency). I used the same amount of nutes as always but may have a guess as to how the deficency occured. I was only using 1/2gal for 4 plants in 7gallon pots, is it possible that since i wasnt watering enough the nutes were accumilating in the soil until there was too much which caused the burn?? The last 3days I have been watering everyday with 1/2gal of water and 4-5drops superthrive rather than every otherday. Prolly water again tommorow if it looks like the babies need em and then start skipping every other day but use 1 full gallon. How often should I add nutes im using the gh flora series?

Absolutely, you have to remember that a plant is comprised of mostly water so wouldn't that be an element that you would want to make sure of giving plenty to?Especially if it's been hot where you are. KEEP SMOKE ALIVE!!

Are these plants big enough for 7 gallon planters? I consider those huge and watering young plants evenly in such large containers can be tricky. Good luck.
There are no stupid questions . . . some are just easier to answer.

first off. a DEFICIENCY in phosphorus would be Lack of phosphorus. Dedepending on the amount of nutes u were using and how often that could be why they are having that problem, but in that case its not a deficiency, simply over fertilization of ALL nutes not just phosphorus

Yea i know what deficiency means hehe. Ive mentioned few times that ive been using the nutes at half reccomended strength and at first thought that the plants could use more meaning there is some kind of deficiency. After watering three days in a row with no nutes at all the plants seem to be doing better which now leads me to believe that it could have been over fertilization. Back to the phosphorus deficiency, some of the leaves looked like thats what may have been wrong and if not would atleast give people a better understanding of what my problem looks like without any pics. When i start up with the nutes again im gonna use em once a week so that they have enough time to flush out. Thks for the help

oh ok.... i didnt see how u could overfert yet have a defeciency also because the three main nutes are Nit. pot. and phos. so unless u were using a different type of fertilizer something didnt seem right with your diagnosis. it is most likely just overfert. good luck though... hope u got the answers u needed
