Default MexiBlunts Wild Outdoor GORILLA!!!
A new season is here and with the success of harvesting one yup that's right 1 plant last year and becoming super inspired by a bunch of ppl on this site. To name a few.

Of course FDD- need I say more. Thanks always.

Beaner- don't know what ever happened to him but he was crazy hiker guerilla grower... much props!

BrownDirtwarrior- I skipped the drama but he did answer some of my pm's in the begining regarding strain issues. (I had some of the same strains)

And the many many more who haul their asses out thru the mud, blood, bugs. for the love of it all!!!

Here's what's up.

Like I said in the intro we (my bro and I when I post on here I sometimes say we or our, and or I), Harvested only 1 plant last year from outside. It was a great learning experience. We started with 60-80 plus seeds and a hole full of sunshine mix in a secret wooded area. Germination rate was crazy high as was the male ratio, We lost some or most actually to flooded plots. So this year we came up with a plan, or at least a whole lot more knowledge due to this site to attack it with.

Issue#1 starting from seed is a pain in the ass for us to do guerilla growing style. a. you need to wait for warm enough weather here. b. they take alot of work to maintain when very small and out in the wild thus adding extra hiking trips etc. b2 extra trips to sex if different varieties diff times etc.

This year we are using clones (from a variety of mums) that are 6 inches at the same time as the soonest we could get seeds in the ground. These were med/big clones placed in 6 ounce beer cups, rooting powder, into sunshine mix #1 I think. Placed in a cooler with the lid removed and top covered with saran wrap to keep humidity.

I was going to start this thread last night but we had a wicked sunset right after a storm rolled thru.

Default In search of Higher Ground.
So last year alot of plants drown! Not Good! River came up unexpectedly and flooded our apparent sweet spot. This year we put three back in hopes of the freaking water to not come that high agin. GONE!!!!! Oh well! The difference this year is that those 3 were a small investment into that sweet spot.
And as they say. Never to put all your eggs in one basket!

So with better planning this year we scoped out a few better locals. New sweet spots or as we like to call one of em. 'Secret Garden" duh!
It is a minus that it takes alot longer/harder to hike to these places but that is also a plus that it will take alot longer/harder for others to get there.
This is some of the terrain. It is a war zone of logs weeds burs you name it. walking with your arms str8 in the air to avoid this burning weed in the pits. And the wood ticks poison ivy and mosquitos. tho the mosquitos haven't been bad yet.
And a pic of one of the first batch of 6 to go out.

Way to go Mexi, lol. It is very hard to find good spots these days. I hear that. Just when you think you found one, next year it is shiit, lol. Good luck, keep on growing.

Thanks. I was thinking as many as the moms will put out for as long as I can but right now there is just a couple and some are starting to have some bug issues, nothing serious so I'm starting to re-think it. Instead of having a crap tonne of mid grade plants with issues I'm going to concentrate on doing these the best they can.

Now that is something very very cool! I love to see the pictures on here of the mother loads but this also is surely a sight to see in the wild. Maybe she will bring you luck.

Default Bambi Left now GET TO WORK!
Decided to amend the soil that is there instead of hauling our own out there (sunshine/promix) etc. We used some perlite vermiculite and a bit of dolomite lime. The holes are about 2-3 gallon size. If I were to use soilless mix etc I would make them bigger, but were not too sure on how much or if we even feed them at all. This way the clones have a nice mix to get established and can then go deeper. I think we are very close to the water table next to the river and the soil has stayed very moist all year so far.(knocks on wood). It is very rich looking soil and the existing veg is jungle crazy. I'm hoping this will get us thru for the most part. I'm confident in our ability to add anything it might need at a latter point. via guano/foliar feeding/compost tea etc. I have lots of ideas just haven't decided yet, will wait to see if they even will need any of it. I'm sure all you rollitupers will give me more ideas than I can imagine.
here the hole, amendments, a few pre holes, and 1 happy clone!

Right now she is one of a couple spirit guides that we have come across in our hiking trips. But if she eats our plants she's lunch!! j/k I'll just piss around or use some of the other known methods to keep them away. I did find two little deer tracks on either side on one clone. clone was alright. actually it's the one in my last post.
