how long do i have to keep force flowering them before they will go on their own today is day 4 of flowering ive been using a big garbage can to cover them

Im no expert, but my guess would be, till their ready to harvest. I dont understand how a plant finishes budding without the right light schedule. 12/12

Plants grown outdoors don't need 12/12 to start flowering. After the summer soltice the days start to get shorter & that turns the plants on to start flowering. I have females & males showing by the end of July every yr. & it's still about 14.5/9.5
