Where i live (ar, usa) I have heard talk of the trails to the plants are what mainly get them found. They said the trails look like arrows pointing the way. any other thoughts on this?

Common screw up.Just like deer that take the same path night after night,a trained eye can see it.
another way to explain it is the way wind affects tall grass....the grass bends the direction the wind is blowing.If it blows hard the grass will stay like that from breaking.When you walk your trail alot tree branches and low growing vines,plants and stuff over time will get trampled flat and will be a clear cut path.


Best method to avoid detection.....don't have a path!
Take a new route every time.Wear moccasin,skateboarding or water shoes with little or no tread so it doesn't mess the ground up so much.And never leave anything along the trail as you walk or leave anything near the site.Even if it's not near your site just having something odd in the middle of nowhere will cause them to search harder.

i take different routes now and then .. but a i have a main one which is under some THICK trees .. no way (i dont care wat people say) they can't see it .. there is my knowledge ... just dont make your trail SUPER obvious throw some shit over it every 2 weeks or something and you should be fine

Pretty true.I have nice big oaks that cover my property.Guess the rule should be"if you can see clear sky,take another route".If you can see out then helicopters can see in lol.

yep man .. my point exactly .. i just feel safe taking other routes i only have one bad trail and its where i slide down the slope .. but i'll fix that later ... also adjacent to the is another trail where i have a hard time getting up the other side :/ what i do to grow my weeds
