If the police discover your grow they could set up observation cameras along the track toward your plants to monitor you trekking in and out. If cops find money at a guerrilla grow they wont take it so that trick only works with non-police. Need to leave something there that the cops won't be able to stop themselves from disturbing.

What I did in the past was to put a bunch of 4 inch nails into the ground around the plants, so theyre just sticking out and cant be seen, loosened up so it was easily enough for a boot to push them in and not notice.

That could also indicate an animal has been around, but I found a depressed nail, which happened once, and unless I could see animal tracks, then that was the last time I went to that plant.

Putting your mind to it you could come up with your own semi-boobytrap indicator that worked along the same lines.

(in fact I didnt go back to that plant even though there were no visible tracks around)
