i just wanted to say that my plants did fine over the stormy days... now thers 1 more thing.. for 2 weeks its supposed to be very cloudy but no rain thank go^^. i just wanted to know if the plants, especially the small ones i just planted can die without much sun for the next 2 weeks. also i dont know if i shud water them since without much sun thers not much photosynthesis going on. any clue whether they will be fine, and the small babies 2?

thnx

Even on a cloudy day, there's still a shit ton of light coming through (or else it wouldn't be bright out). Photosynthesis will certainly not be at its peak, but it will be occurring for sure. You should water based solely on how dry the soil is - you want it to dry out in between waterings/rain. For cloudy periods, that probably means every 4 days (that's approximate- go by the soil).

Naw man, they won't die from it being cloudy. As I said, even when it's cloudy plenty of light is still getting through. Of course they grow fastest when it's sunny, but that doesn't mean they die when it's not. They'll just grow slowly until it gets sunny again. It may lead to stretching, yea, but there's absolutely nothing you can do about that.

I think it's like to happen a tiny bit, yea, but nothing tragic. The only way to get really bad stretching is to grow indoors with lighting that is not strong enough or too far away. Plus, stretching outdoors really isn't a problem; at worst, you have to stake up the plants, which a lot of people have to do anyway just from weight...

I assure you, clouds are the least of your worries. I can list about 100 things that you should be much more worried about: deer, police, smaller animals, insects, and so on. At this point, you have little to worry about. Tend to them, and let them do their thing.
