Ooooh - you know you should pick up one of those night vision cameras that hunters use to see what is visiting a site. They aren't very expensive anymore - like $150 and if you put it somewhere inaccesible to the person that just got caught (high branch), it's likely that they will run when the light goes off rather than stay to look for the camera and destroy it.

OR, you could get a solar powered security camera that will just connect to your WiFi network...and see who is there when. There is one that Linksys makes that will email you a photo whenever the camera detects motion.

But you could just watch the movie Predator and get some good ideas for traps...

Up here in the great white north, the biker gangs would take over farmers fields and bobby trap them with shotgun's and trip wires..Where your corn WAS, pot IS. Plus a shotgun pointing at you.........Puts a deadly twist on the corn roast season....

A little off topic.. but just to expand on Twistyman's post.. my brother is a mechanic at a farm equipment dealer and told me this..

the last few years theres been farmers finding HUGE plots of weed growing in their fields, so they call the cops.. the cops come, pull all the plants, thank the farmer for the tip etc...

those farmers go back out to harvest their other crops days/weeks later.. except that the guerilla growers find out that the plants have been found/pulled and then they proceed to drive painted, metal stakes into the ground, leaving them only a few feet above the ground..

1000's of dollars damage is done to farm equipment cause you dont see the stakes until its too late and they are put through machinery.. just a big fuck you from the growers to the farmer that ratted on them.. what a dirty practice (my family has farmed for decades.. if this happened to me, i would fuckin lose it)

on the same note, the cops are now appealing to farmers directly to report these guerilla grows due to the decrease in reports from farmers beacuse they fear the repercutions that similar to the one mentioned above.. what the cops dont know (or do know but wont say more likely) is that many of the sophisticated grows are carried out by gangs/bikers, hells angels, etc.. and there is no fuckin way farmers would screw with them.. they just leave the plants now.. if the plants are still arond come harvest time, they get harvested along with everything else..
