I will be growing outdoors in Texas here within the next 2 weeks, and for those that do not live around Texas we have been getting a rainstorm just about every week which of coarse is very unusual.I will also be growing in the woods a couple miles away from my home. My question is, lets say that Texas gets the normal 90-100 degree weather about how often should I plan on watering my plants? (I'm planning on checking on them every other day, unless that is unnecessary from the information that you guys give me)

I am in TX too. I usually have to water every day. The heat is hard to beat. Try to set up a watering system. I use a big tote painted camo. I just attach a few soaker hoses to the tub and fill it up about twice a week. Just put the hoses coming out of the bottom and run them right by your plant. I have good results this way. K, I cant really set up a watering system because the location of my plants will be in the woods with a creek being the only water source, and I don't think it would be a good idea to water my plants with because its very dirty. I will be growing with my best friend so we can switch off going every day to water. I know that rain water is probably the best but would watering my plants with tap water work too?

Another question about how much water would you do per plant? ( I was thinking just enough to get the top of the soil moist around the plant itself)

Im only growing in cups until i transplant anyways. But with the plastic cups i just water it enough so i can look inside it and see if its all moist and wet. And some drains out of the bottom of the cup? Im not sure if this method works with bigger pots. If your growing right in the ground then you wont need to worry about overwatering as much.

I am telling you right now the watering system is a life saver in TX. It is just too hot. You guys will have to water every day unless it rains. The dirty water from the creek is prob better than your tap water for your plant. Tap water can sometimes have to much chlorine in it wich will fuck your plant up. If you are gonna use tap then fill up a bucket and let it sit outside for a day before using it this will get most of the chlorine out of it. If there is anyway to utilize the water from the creek I would stongly suggest it. Watering every day is a hell of a job. Water your plant in the morning if at all possible and drench it. I wouldnt worry about over watering.

OKay,I need a Little Bit Of info and help on Growing Trainwreck Outdoors.First I will not Have it at my house Or near a house,,It will be in the woods.But I can Get things there cause I ride my Fourwheeler there.I Cant be there to water it every day though the plants will be alone 1/2 the time!!!But I want to set up a watering system(HOW!!!!)And I am going big with this one,I will have close to thirty or more plants.I am thinking Distilled Water??Yes no?I know three fourths of how to grow Indoor,But only half outdoor.And dont get fancy or expenisve with the responds please cause I am VERRY young.But I will Be growing with my brother and he is PLENTY old enough to drive me around and shit.But i want like Home made stuff,If it helps it will be in Oregon.In a very hot area the temp for 9 hours a day is most of the time in the 80's and 90's.And at night 55-ish and up.Very dry area.RARE rain.Please help me out here,I can do it but donnt want to screw it up,and want the quality to be TOP NOTCH!!
