The best thing you guys can do is mulch your plants well. It protects the important feeder roots near the surface and slows water loss by evaporation. I have used, with great success, water absorbing polymers to extend times between waterings. I have also used a product called dry water. It's made from potato starch and waters at need over a long period of time. I bought mine from orchard supply and you can find it on their website. Beyond these things your only respite from frequent watering is setting up some kind of irrigation system. Good luck and good growing.
