Lightbulb save a plant, top it early?? wsup fdd

i am growing outdoors, my plants are about, 2 weeks from being put in the soil.

i didnt germ them in a bag, i just threw them in some "grow plugs" its like a spongy soil cork with a hole in the top of it that is about a 1/8th of an inch deep. they have their "bean sprout leaves" as i like to call them, and their first set of jaggad long luscious leaves.

my question is,
after the third tier comes in, do i top them?
also, i think they are growing quite fast, they were some puuurdy bag seed i had but i expect the two little ones i have to be males. i am also starting another crop in the same setup today, probably 10 seeds or 15 more. right now the veggies i have are in full sunlight all day, the weather has been partly cloudy but most of the time it gets to a low of 50's lately. the past few weeks have been rather chilly, sometimes around the low 40s but only for a night or two.

is this to much sunlight? and do temps usually effect sex?

ps, i should start a grow journal for this i grew a 75g harvest under a 400whps so i know a little bit about growing

i added some 10-15-5 ferts to them after they sprouted, they were azealia food or somthing, i know the ferts do not make the soil acidic! but i have been adding rain water/ hose water that sits outside a day or two,

did i introduce nutes to soon??

not sure about other stuff but I know people like to tell you you aren't sposed to feed plant before like 4th week in vegging, BULLSHIT as fdd put it, I feed my plants a low nute fertilizer when they have just been put in soil! maybe its the low nute count but I use organic fish emulsion mixed with seaweed, smells bad but works wonders!

i top at the 10th node. i wait until they are 12 or more nodes tall then cut them back to 10. i start feeding once the leaves look pale. i don't think there is such a thing as "too much sunlight".

i was always told that you are more likely to have a male if during your veg stage you left your lights on for 17 hours or more a day, usually around 24, would stress a plant out and it would become a male?

stress=more males? or am i making this all up???

i don't think you are making it up. i think someone is spreading hogwash. no matter what i do i always seem towards the more females side. i don't know why. if i plant 3 beans i get 2 females. i just started 10 and got 5 females and 5 males. i think all these little "secrets" make things more difficult.
