Default Guerilla Growing Help, New to the Outdoors

I'm planning my Guerilla Grow in WI. I have been growing indoors for a little bit, but now I'm on my way outside. I have 15seedlings 5days old... 1durga mata, 9bubblicious, 5ak48 I'm putting them outside between May7-15th... I don't have a spot picked yet. I have access to farmers fields, wooded areas, lake area's, river banks, etc. No natural water can be used around here tho. I will have to water 15 plants thru veg and about 5-10 during flowering. Here are my main concerns now!

Will these indoor strains hold up in WI?

Where to plant? I want to plant along the Southside of some woods, about ten feet in to promote sun access and hide them at the same time, suggestions?

Suggestions for a medium mixture??

Ok I have done this a few times before successully.

The strains will grow well if they are indoor/outdoor or outdoor strains. Depending on the weather they may do great if they are indoor only seeds.

Why is the water bad there?
I treid to plant near water sources so i didn't haver to carry water in. I had a bucket that collapsed so I could go to the river and grab buckets full of water cause carrying it in really scuks bigtime.

The most important thing is to pick areas that are going to have the most sun.
There usually are some base spots in the woods that wood great.
Dig HUGE holes...at least 2 by 2
I would take out the existing dirt and came with additives like MG potting soil mix bone meal compost and sometimes lime depending on what type of forest it is.

I wouldn't add anything smelly like fish ferts or blood meal or you will have animals digging them up.

Your biggest threat is man. Its hunting season as well as harvest season.

You allready have good soil in Wi. & plenty of rain in the summer to grow big plants without having to amend the soil or haul water. The only secret to growing big plants is to plant where OTHER WEEDS GROW BIG. Dig your holes a week or two before planting because animals are attracted to freshly dug dirt & sometimes dig up the plants rooting around the freshly dug dirt. Planting where other weeds grow big lets you know there's decent soil & enough moisture in the soil. They also camo the plants well.

"The only secret to growing big plants is to plant where OTHER WEEDS GROW BIG."

What's more important is the time of year when you plant your seedlings. But why do need big plants? Big plants are easy to find for the feds & ripp offs. When growing pakalolo, check your ego at the nursery!

Are you aware the feds use infrared to find plants from the sky? Are you aware the feds can locate plants from the fertilizers you use? Just a few things to think about when going big!

hahahahahahahahahhahaha - You obviously have never grown in the midwest where it's farmers fields, scattered wood lots & lots of areas with 6' weeds. If you spot plant in big weeds they never see your plants even from the air.

Fantastic tips! Exactly what I'm looking for.

Lacy, I just assumed the water around here is no good because it is abused, maybe it would be good? I have heard of a few grows around here being ruined becuz of river water, but does it matter at what point in the river you take it? I guess i will have to do a little more research on that...

TCmike, thanks for the tips, well thought! The only problem I forsee with that is, the last two summers we have had no rain for months at a time. Ussually thru June, July, August rain can be few and far in between. I am going to try to utilize your ideas though, but with a backup plan.

Puna, I definately c where u are coming from. Lets not forget to mention that cannabis has a higher temperature on an IR than all other plants. I really don't think growing here is a huge problem, so not many feds are flying over, atleast that I have ever heard of.... I could be wrong tho

I live at 45 degrees north in Wisconsin and the garden index says last week in may for planting at a 90% of no frost. Unless the water you are near is from a flooded rock quarry or the Fox river (Lake Winnebago downstream), it should be ok. Most of the rivers and lakes have farm run-off, making them already loaded with nutes. Get some of that brown Chippewa river water and watch them go! Watch out for the farmers, they know everything about weed and gorilla ops. Good luck.

hahahahahahaha, you're right! I have never been to the midwest! But as an outdoor grower since the mid seventies in Hawaii I can only speak from experience here. We growers here have been waging on on going battle with the feds!(Operation Green Harvest) OGH started up right about the time I started growing. A joint op done by DEA ,local police enforcement, and National Guards! You will never feel really violated until these pricks fly above you home in helicopters at daybreak lower National Guardsmen down a rope ladder with M-16's full locked and loaded. You feel like you're being invaded by a foreign army! In one swoop they come in take away all your plants(early days of OGH). Now days you will lose your home and property thru their seizure laws if cannabis is found on your property.
We use to grow on federal land too. But nowdays they give out a gang of time for that!

All I'm saying is be very careful. Some sativa strains will grow up to 15 ft outside!

Good luck!!!!
