Hey Ruff

I'm in the NE US and its not in the 80's yet, in fact todays high was 58. I did some indoors and i put 2 outside just for the hell of it- still small, but looking real healthy. My indoor ones all started small and ended up going through growth spurts. Fun plants to play around with, but not big yielders- check out my grow rpt if ya want, i had some bad luck, 5 out of 6 were male, but the female is really starting o look nice.

I am in the deep SW US. Hey bud I just read over your thread. I have heard it elsewere that the male to female ratio with lowryder 2 are not good I guess we will see with mine. But yeah I am not very impressed if these things only take 60-70 days to finish then they had better get to growing. I have a total of five. One will stay outdoor because it is permanent. The other four in pots I am hoping for females and one male at least so I can do the seed thing. But I am wondering if I pull them when they show sex and put them under 20 hrs of indoor light if it will screw them up? What do you think? I will put some new pics up in my thread tommorrow.

Ok well here they are the largest one is 19 days from seed, the others are 16 days from seed. I am not sure but they look kinda yellow to me I know the pics are not very good but I cant figure that darn camera out for the life of me. the tips of the leaves look kinda raty, and they are not dark green like other lr2 pics I have seen. No nutes except for some superthrive about 3 days ago. Any help would be great.

Hey

My outdoor ones look like the one in picture 1, except they're 24 days old. Mine are not in pots, just in holes filled with potting soil and pearlite. I really dont know much about these but even in my indoor grow of these, they really didnt start taking off till day 20 or so- plus some were alot bigger than others. Give em time, hopefully you'll get some decient bud out of them, just give em time.

Looks pretty good. Not perfect but they will be fine. The sex will show on the bigger ones very soon. Before you kill males, wait a bit because I have had what look exactly like balls turn out to be the beginning of a branch and the plants were female. This is with original Lowryder though. This one isn't much further long then your larger ones and is showing its sexy girlie bits.

how much do you typically yield and what are your average growth conditions(full sun for how long etc...)

DesertSativa I like your hen pot! You say that it is the same age as mine, that makes me feel a little better. As far as lighting conditions they get about 9 hours of direct sunlight per day, the days are about 13hrs long. But as far as the raty looking leaves the only thing I can really think of is high or low ph, could this cause raty looking leaves???? I am going to go buy a ph tester today. I have never grown this type before matters fact the only thing that I have grown was some birdseed hemp, I never smoked it but it was fun to grow. lol. I dont even know when or if I will smoke any of this lr2 its just a hobby of mine to grow stuff.

Right now according to Sunrise Sunset Calculator by Sun Creations I am at 13.4 hours of sun above the horizon, and I move the pot around so it should get pretty much all of that direct sun. As far as yield, I don't know yet. Haven't been able to let one finish. I had two really good ones, a male and a female, which I was going to let them doink so I cold have seeds a month ago that were at the state the tomato lowryder is now. Unfortunately my wife was having a paranoid moment and made me kill them. Bastards plugged up my shitter and I didn't a plunger. Karma prevailed and it was her shit that combined with the plants clogged it, so she had to deal with the over flowing shit-water. So we will see as far as yield. Before I started these I made her promise that she wouldn't go bananas on me and make me kill them, but now i have two females and no seeds left. Actually, there is another Lowryder baby in the yard that won't show sex for another few weeks, so it might be just right to pollinate a girl at the end of her life.

I have a pH tester and stopped using it after my pH was constantly fine. The dude at the grow shop said that soil naturally buffers pH but I don't know how true that is. All I know is that pH has never been a problem. In the past, the only problem I have ever had with grass is either Magnesium deficiency in veg state and nute lock in veg state. Now I use Botanicare's CalMag+ and have never had a Mag deficiency since. Also, I have learned to read the plants and feed when they tell me, not when I think that they need food to get bigger. Another note, in my little experience, as long as your medium and container drains well, it is really hard to over fertilize if you follow the manufactures mixing directions and pour a lot of nute solution over your plants so you have alot of run-off during every watter.

thanks for the input DesertSativa. You know my wife made do the same thing the first time around also. Well I just got back and tested the water out of the hose in the yard and it came out to 6.8 so I think that is pretty good. Maybe it is just heat/humidity that is causing it. I noticed that toay they seem to be looking really good. I have to work soon so I will see them in the morning. I will also take some more pics in a couple of days and post them, I guess this will be my grow journal.
