Okay, this is for the outdoor experts. I am new to growing. I have 6 plants in 6" containers; 3 are one month old and 3 are about 20 days old. Everyday I take them outdoors for their dose of sunshine. I had a high Ph; 8+. I don't have a meter, but I have Ph solution tester. I just put one in the ground with a good blend of soil. My question is; since my Ph out of the tap is high do I have to keep balancing the Ph for the life of the plant once in the ground?

Tony, you are correct on the high-low, I finally used pH down which is an acid. I don't know about dolomite. I had a problem that needed to be corrected and my friendly hydro store helped out, even though I was growing outdoors.
