i started 4 weeks ago and its growing just fine.... it is a indica plant not sure what strain.... but anyways i was just curious if since i started a little early will i need to wait until fall comes to start producing bud or will it take 12 or so weeks reguardless of the light pattern

you need some more reading friend, but ill give ya this one as a freebie.
you will have to wait until the normal flowering time so that the photogenic chemicals will come out in your plant and make it bud. certain strains do this much earlier than others as well.
what are you are looking for may be something along the lines of an autoflowering plant. google lowryder, lowryderII, masterlow, yeah theres wuite a few. but they start to make bud after growing for like 3 weeks. they take 9-10weeks from the time the seeds are planted.

you will still hav to wait til the fall but your plants will be bigger and bigger.

eh that sucks... i wasnt looking for a huge yield or nething seeing as how i did this for the hell of it, but w.e also the sunrise/sunset here is like 11/13 does it have to be percisley 12/12 or could it be give in take an hour.

12/12 is just the time that people use because it works well for an average time to use.
they will flower on different times depending on the strain.
the autoflowering plants have a smaller yield and will only take about 10 weeks. thats the shortest time out there so far. if ya dont want to do that its th e good old fashioned wait till harvest time
