So I have my outdoor spot ready to go. I've got 3 bag seed females that have shown sex...hopefully not autoflowering. Got 4 Ice seeds, from Nirvana, yet to show sex. My soil mix is as follows: 7 bags of 1.5 cubic feet of "Patio Plus Outdoor Soil" This soil already contains worm castings, bat guano, chicken manure and a lot of other goodies. I added tomato fertilizer, more guano, lime, peat moss, perlite, a small handfull of polymer crystals, and more worm castings to all the bags. Should be alright yes?

Now, I will have two locations. Holes dug in the ground, soil mixed in. Once the soil is in the ground and the plants are ready to be put in I wanted to put about 1.5 inches more worm castings over the top as a mulch. I read on the package that this is ok...but i was thinking it could possibly burn the plants?

I just bought a GPS...garmin extrex legend cx or somethign like that because the location of my spot will be difficult to locate at night. My main concern is watering. I wont be able to water the plants very often. If i needed to I could go there two times a month, but I'd like to stay away as much as possible. SOO I was wondering.... with the peat moss mixed in the soil, some polymer crystals, and the wormcastings as mulch, how long could i expect not to water with average days ranging from 75 - 80ºF and low wind??

I also bought a block of cocofiber. Its about a 3 lb block that you add 5 gallons of water to and it absorbs it all. I was going to lay about a 2-3 inch thick layer of this stuff around each plant. And to retain even more water i was thinking of placing large rocks/stones on top of the soil, below coco brick, to stop even more evaporation. Withe this set up I'm optimistic that i won't have to water but once a month??? hopefully??haha

Whats the npk values of the soil and fert you using?

You will be fine worm castings are imposible to burn plants with, you can use 100% worm casting as a grow meduim , but that would be surly a waste as the worm castings are most valued for their rich bacteria & fungal floras which add life to you soil and allow your ammendments to be broken down faster.

Just visit and observe them the first couple times you go, i would suggest visiting them the them every week just to be sure they have enough watter to build a big root mass, which will make the plant more self suficient. I would recomend also adding some kelp meal as it contains trace minerals and harmons like auxins wich will boost your plant during veg growth, but more importanly is that kelp meal contains alginate wich has really great watter retention propertie, and will extend the watering times needed. Oh ya it also contains over 60 trace elements neede by plants.

cool. thanks everyone...So ill try and go to the spot every week for the first few weeks to see what the girls needs are. With any luck they won't be drying out too fast.

Oh and btw garmins etrex cx works wonders. Man life is so much easier with a good gps

have you considered an autowatering system that might be able to reduce watering periods?
