Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone knows if the light spectrum from hps bulbs are more effective at stimulating budding, as opposed to the full spectrum of the sun. I have heard that hps gives off a spectrum similar to the spectrum of natural sunlight during the natural flowering time in the year. So essentially with hps you are getting the optimum spectrum for flowering the whole time, but is this better than just getting the whole spectrum? Any ideas?
Thanx people
Yes it is intriguing, and in addition to this I was also wondering if a plant budding under HPS would reach maturity faster than a plant budding outdoors. I am curious about this because I had a plant outdoors that had been flowering for about 3 weeks and when I put it in a room for two weeks I swear the plant literally exploded in size. Although, I did start using fox farms three part nutes one week prior. Do you think the explosion was caused by the change to hps budding spectrum or do you think it was the nutes. Or perhaps a combination? Any ganja gurus have any ideas? Thanx again
Well I'm still new to this but I would guess that maybe under lights it was easier to get an exact 12/12 light cycle than just under the sun, I know there is a 12/12 natural cycle but maybe it wasn't in full effect yet?
You can't compete with the sun. Well Maybe I dunno. I guess the sun is the best thing for plants. Maybe im wrong. Maybe im dumb but think im just Happy.......................

I am not here. None of this is real. Now go back to sleep.
There is nothing like the sun. Perfect spectrum and incredible strength for free. Plus the whole plant gets even light instead of just the upper portion.
