I was talkin to a Native American friend of mine and he said his cousin has been usin fish for growin for years! he digs a hole to the depth he wants then digs another foot and a half and puts a couple dead fish in and fills it back up to where he wants. apparently it works cuz he says the plants shoot up like like crazy when they hit the fish. is this a fib or has anybody done this? any comments on how deep, how many fish?

Well I know for sure that it helps plants grow, they've been using fish for a looong time now. As for how many or how deep I'm not sure and I would actually like to know this too.

I Have Friends That Use To Do That Back In The Day. I Dont See Why It Wont Work. Fish Emulsion Is Used All The Time For Growing. I Too Do Not Know How Many/how Deep. I Would Say That Digging A Foot Deeper Maybe About Right. I Wish I Had Some Room To Grow A Plant In The Ground.

ya im thinkin bout a foot below my hole put a few bluegill. im just gona try it with a few plants this year, see how it works out, hope it doesnt make my medicine taste like fish lol

It's a great idea if you're worried that the skunks and raccoons in your neighborhood aren't getting enough to eat, because they'll all be standing in line for their turn to dig up one of your plants and look for the buried treasure.

A foot underground + dog scent and piss all over the place...idk ill take the risk with a few plants
