I've been doing some research on the lowes and home depot websites ad they have so many different kinds of soil. Like scotts for example has like 20 different kinds, like...Miracle gro soil for flowers and vegetables, for trees and shrubs, organic choice garden soil, enriched sphagnum peat moss...these one are listed for in ground planting. I also tried looking for fox farm and they didn't come up on these sites. Would any of these work?

don't use compressed mix -- if that's what you are talking about.

I never use soil -- only mix

it,s no contest for me Ive done the pots and the maths say in the ground bigger yield so les plants .After all when they go in pots you are trying to mimic mother nature the closer you get better the yield.Let her do the job she,s got more expeireance

No soil. MIX my friend MIX. You have to learn the terminology. There is a distinction here. MIX is not soil. You want state of the art growing, you use mix and fortify it yourself. It has little nutritional value alone. Don't make the roots work more than they have to. the quicker they grow, the bigger your root mass, the larger your plant and flowers. It all comes back to root mass. Roots have to burrow into soil. This takes time. And buckets above ground have heat issues (heat on the roots will rob you of growth and yield unless you are in your back yard and can monitor it daily. Give them a luxury environment where they can eat and flourish without obstruction and stress. Mitigating stress throughout the life cycle is your main objective. This is state of the art growing.
