Weird or What!

The other day I went out to fertilize my Baby it's in a marsh so you have to bushwhack through some thick @$$ bush and ankle deep in mud and water, go throw a marsh meadow and into some thickets to where there was high enough ground to cultivate. On my way through my little path i created to my crop I found a very peculiar obstacle in my path most people wouldn't notice but a true guerrilla grower always does. Some one or something has craftily cut a bull rush and placed it inconspicuously across my little path in a way to make it out to be a blown down bull rush. But obviously I always examine my path, as I walk, to look for foreign activity. I found it weird how the bullrush had fallen the opposite direction than the rest of the wind blown rushes. So I carefully picked it up and to my surprise it had been clean cut from the base and I'm assuming placed in a particular spot to I'm guess monitor any recent activity through this once thought to be secluded path.

Now first off that is the last thing I wanted to see I would rather see a boot print or broken branches but no such luck this means that the person in pursuit of me or my crop is exceptionally cunning. Most people don't leave traps or markers in suspected paths.

My question to my fellow brothers and sisters of RIU is who do you think I am dealing with.

1. Could it be an innocent occurrence a mere coincident. That some messing around at the entrance to my path cut a bull rush and dropped it in a way were it looked threatening?

2. Could it be a crop rustler looking for some easy bud?

3. Or could it be local law enforcement curious about the paths purpose and activity?

I think it's weird and would like a second opinion.
