first grow :) any tips?
So this plant is halfway through its 7th week. This is the first time I have grown, and I am looking on it as an experiment, and a chance for me to get my bearing for growing. I have one more which is growing taller, and pistils are not visible. maybe i am a bit impatient but i suspect a male.
There are a two fan leaves with a spot of yellowish/brown however I do not know the cause of this. The spot is roughly an inch in diameter.
A friend is also growing these same seeds and his plant has much more vegetation (taller, bushier, more leaves) and I am wondering why mine are less so.
They're getting about 16 hours of light, however not constant as compared to indoor grows under lights. No nutes have been given yet but I am looking for a completely organic grow.
Due to temperamental weather, I have been bringing them inside at night. Would it be unwise to provide them with a couple hours of some (albeit not very powerful) artificial light as we often have overcast days, so there is not constant sunlight. I have been watering thoroughly when the soil begins feeling dry a finger-pokes worth depth. very excited to be finally growing although i am aware not to over-love them and be impatient.

hi there
no perlite. weather is being horrible here atm so to be perfectly honest a few hours most.

Well, it looks like you need some better soil. Buy some cheap organic soil with perlite or vermiculite in it for better drainage. Also, you want to be careful with the artificial light because if you dont keep it on consistent schedules, it could stress the plant. Also, what area are you in? I would recomend doing some LST or possibly topping if your south enuf..

@Kaendar South west UK. i topped my other plant and it proceeded to die, however, i never had much hope for the poor thing. we keep it on a consistent schedule and it is beginning to flourish thanks to our freakishly sunny weather. Plant is getting smelly. How would LST be beneficial to my plant?
