how hot is too hot?

anything over 85 is too hot, not that it will kill ur plant but once it reaches those temps but it slows or can even stop metabolic activity altogether. the ideal temp for mj is 72-76F so i would think about going to grab a burlap shade cloth if i were u. it will drop the temp 10-15 degrees. ive had mine up all year and have not had any problems related to heat. i will remove it in a month or so when the temps drop in order to let in more light.

living in south florida i find the mj, autos & photos, love the hot weather and high humidity.. they grow like wildfire. i mist my plants in full sun even when they are as young as 2 days old. never has had any negative effects. they love it!

It was 109 a few weeks ago here in the valley, just make sure they are properly watered. Every should be fine

What is that plant over to the left, is it a bird of Paradise, I planted a few in my back yard this spring they are doing well. I first saw them in Jamaica and came home and bought two of them. When they mature they make these giant, red and yellow, hard upside down flowers. Very coool stuff

It was 101 yesterday and as humid as the rain forest... literally. Today is cooler... 95-100. It was time that the two larger plants were moved indoors to bloom. Just 3 seedlings left out there. They are doing just fine.

Yes, that is a bird of paradise. I've had it for 5 years now. I'm worried that I won't be able to bring it back indoors this winter. It's getting too big... about 8' tall right now. Ive even misted indoors with a 1000w light a foot away... and I didnt even shake the plants to get the droplets off I just waited. Burning holes in your plants, what a joke.

Dont just believe what you read on the internet there is alot of false misinformation out there from idiots who try to teach things they have never even practiced or tried.
