Has anyone ever planted on a steep hill? If so, any advice

This veteran grower (Kong) checks for near same type of vegatation establishment,then makes the on the spot call.

Make sure its the south facing side of the hill.
I grow in a hilly area I just grow on the ridges or peaks, the hills are very steep (60 degree)
You could always try terracing, where you dig into the hill at a 90 degree angle to make a flat spot for plants. I tried this and it takes A LOT of work, a lot of dirt to move, not to mention you are on an EXTREMELY steep cliff.
