Easy Poor Man's Fence?

premade fence panels are relatively cheap and look fairly nice - ive seen 6ft by 6ft panels for as little as £12. The price does escalate fairly quickly when you need a decent length but the timber to create something similar yourself will probs set you back more (and would be a pain in the ass). I would have a builder lay a 2ft balast wall to make it sturdy and look good - this would probably add value to the property aswell if thats something your interested in.

Tall, solid fences built next to sidewalks cause neighborhoods to look walled-in, and this detracts from the appearance and quality of the community. Fences built too high can also create safety concerns. They may increase the chances for a fire to spread by making it more difficult for fire personnel to access a property in order to fight fires. Although a fence greater than 6 feet might add more privacy, it also provides criminals with more cover and can create an unsafe environment.

Fences, walls and hedges are generally limited to a height of six feet around back yards and a height of three feet in front yards. Exceptions may be made by the Planning Department and require the notification of adjoining property owners. For more information, refer to Chapter 17.14 of the Zoning Ordinance, Fence, Wall and Landscape Standards.

go rent a lift and a chain saw and cut down the tree. 200 bucks for the lift. and that tree looks around 70 - 90 feet. should be that hard to do or just take all the branchs off it for now tell next yr. cheaper then a fence or get a dof and a eletric fence. get a pack of dogs.

Dropping a 90 foot tree in sections is not something for the weekend lumberjack to attempt lightly.

Here's an idea......have the cedar tree taken down with the trunk/body of the tree dropped in 6' sections.......have it sawed into posts and slats......build a fence out of it....conform to codes.....great looking fence and it smells nice also. Well, it won't smell as nice as what is behind fence #1, but you get the idea.

or i get gaint sun flowers and plant them the first 4 feet along my side walk one every foot 3 rows a foot apart. amand the soil good put up some bamboo steaks and rope on the inside, i have a wall of sun flower just so people can see me relaxing in my yard.

well just say your affraid of hights then how do i know if you dont tell us that. and if your willing to rent a truck for someone to get it down for you you would get help sooner. id come do it i love cutting trees down.
