What if I build a frame and put a cover over them a few days until they kicked?

it would be cheaper to buy the wood then have the tree planed in to boards unless you have a planer. you can get 8'ft dog ear fence pickets from a lumberyard or home-depot. If I were you I would keep an eye out for old fence you could get for demoing it and use what you can.

Provided you kept it flowering, I don't see an issue. I'm flowering two pants outdoors using light deprivation right now. You'd have to keep on it until the days get shorter though.

We're talking about daylight hours and flowering on this thread... it's a small group but it seems others have only needed to kick it into Flower mode if it's under 13 hrs daylight. Your opinion/experience?

    Flowering plants outdoors early.

I am a SOG and SGROG virgin however SOG seems straightforward but I am going to have to do the SCROG before I can wrap my head around it at all. Pics and videos only confuse me more I am a hands on learner for sure!

I have read of people flowering on a 13/11 schedule before, but you have to slowly work down to that light schedule. You may be able to pull it off, but it's honesty about knowing ho your particular strain operates. Some plants I have will start flowering after you put them on 20/4 lighting. That's an extreme example, but differing strains can have slightly different levels of photo-sensitivity. 12/12 is just the rule, there are always exceptions.
