Default quick question about ph calibration

ok so i bought just 4.0 fluid and they sent both 7.00 and 10.00 and i would rather just keep it since i get the two bottles instead of 1 but since weed is acidic should i have to get the 4.0 or would it be accurate with the 7 and 10

If it's reading accurately for both 10 and 7, then you're probably fine. The main thing is having 2 different calibration fluids to compare the reading results.

Your meter needs to have 2 adjustment screws one for 7 one for 10/4 to use both. If it doesn't you can always use the 10 to see how far you are off.

    ok now iam confused

    heres the one i have

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Digital-PH-M...05%26rk%3D4%26

as you can see from the picture it has one screw

when i tried to adjust it earlier it was adjusted to 7 then i tried 10 and it was off like .6

then i adjust it to 10, recheck the 7 and again off .5-.6

so i readjust back to 7 the way it came in the package

I use that exact same meter and always adjust to 7 and never had any problems.

The 10/4 fluid is to set the range with the 10/4 set screw. If your range is too wide, 7.0 will be 7.0 but 10 will be 10.5 and 4 will be 3.5. You adjust the range and that brings 10.5 back to 10 and 3.5 to 4.
If you want to be accurate get someone with a better meter to make you up a bunch of 5.8 and calibrate from that.

And yes, I too had that same meter until I fucked it up. It was a piece of shit. Now I have a slightly better one. You can be pretty far off and your plants will live.
