Green House Plant Stretching
I went on a vacation for a few days and came back to my plants stretched as hell. least 6-8 inches taller then what I had left them at. My question is what is the major factor causing this situation because I've seen lack of water, too much heat, and plant crowding causing this to happen. I do have the plants in a green house and they are quite close together but I don't have enough room to space them out yet, so I'm waiting on the males to appear before I start trying to figure out what can go and what can stay. Has anyone had this problem in a green house and was able to fix it..possibly topping all the shoots to stop them from thinking they need to stretch? I don't want to top them and then have the lower shoots stretch all to hell and make this problem worse.
help me out here because when bud season comes I have a feeling I'm going to have to worry a lot about snapping branches ...eeeek
Thank you

What size pots are they in? I let my plants strech in 1 gallons outside, after i transplant them in to 10 gallons by the end of the season theyve filled out, Ive never worried about that, they will need support come flowering time. But you dont have to worry about big ass stems in the middle of your buds, Unless your growing monsters i wouldnt worry at least i dont. Indoors i grow them in dixie cups till there about 2 or 2/12 feet tall. then transplant them and they exploded!!,

Stretchy isnt good cuz it gives u stringy and fluffy buds.

so should i chop em down to stubs and see if they get get it right or what should I do cause I'm going to be there for days staking them

would cutting them down smaller allow for less stretching ?

If they want more light they are gonna stretch regardless of what you do.
