    Not sure about the bone/blood meal as outdoor critters like to dig for things that smell like that. At least I've been told that, I learned not to use chicken crap from my neighbors barn, critters dug out to plants from that.

    ^^never had that problem either...only thing i noticed was a huge amount of mosquitos but then that brought upon a bunch of things that eat mosquitos and therefore no bad bugs for the herb because if any were there they were eaten before i saw em!

    thanks S7M I wanted to bring that up. Racoons and skunks go crazy for corn they get drunk on the shit and they might smell the blood and decide to investigate the dirt under your plant.

    Protect it with some kind of wire mesh at its base to keep diggers out.
