Why no salt? but lets see to keep them away without salt or pesticides.... that basically leaves picking them off by hand.
alright, so recently my friend and i set up an outdoor grow tent. I planted all my happy little seedlings just to find the next day that some huge ass spotted slug had helped itself to topping my babies. Unfortunatly, i cannot afford any fancy pesticides (nor do i want them on my babies) and i was wondering if there was any way to keep the slugs away without salt or pesticides??

copper wire or tape.
no nonsense makes no sense at all...
just buy some sluggo..
I see what you mean, but it would take a good amount of salt to mess with the plants outdoors unless your putting it straight in there pots if your using pots. Also another way that worked for me was to just dilute the salt in some water and use it as a spray worked better for taking out the slugs then trying to pour it on them or around the grow and didn't have any effect on my girls. But in the end its whatever works for you.

I want to sail away to a distant shore..........an' live like an ape man.
Diatomaceous Earth, food grade not the pool stuff. OMRI listed, it can be found online if not locally. I plan to use it as a barrier for strawberries. If slugs try to cross it they get cut and die.
