I personally think thats a myth that got started by haters of mg. theres many of em and when their theories on y mg's bad get de-bunked, they make up another reason not to use it. I use it and have had some of the best tastin bud I've ever smoked.

I think it's like the old 'mt. dew makes ur dick shrink' myth. Or 'wearing hats make you go bald'. No genetics make you go bald and have a little dick, not the hat or the mt. dew. Just like mg don't make your bud taste bad or funny or watevr. If the bud taste funny might be the growers fault not the fert.

if you use it inside a flush should take care of that anyhow and if you do the same outside giving it just water at the end it should be the same but getting bad taste could be from a number of things not flushing, the curing, genetics, tbh idk why down something that works and is cheap but to each there own im sure everyone when they first started used mg for 1 thing or another sure in time we all go to different things that work for us or go for something with hype behind it which is true in this cannabis world (strain names) but, MG is pretty much basic cultivation 101 sorry for the long rant lol

MG is made with the same salts that any other fertilizer is made with. potassium nitrate, calcium nitrate, monopotassium phosphate, magnesium sulfate, etc.
You just need to use the right ratios. ie not feeding your plant with 30=10=10 during flowering.
