I have used screws screwed into the sides of the pot and string to just tie branches where I want them...if you start LST really early on you can use paper clips, I have seen people use dental floss and random bits of things for weight to hold the branches down...I use this black rubber coated bendy wire stuff my husband uses to hang cable and such and they are great...I just clip pieces off and just bend them to hold the plant how I want and then stick the bits in the ground...or use pliers and cut and bend pieces of coat hanger...or, just keep bending the plant over a few times a day, if you find yourself checking on them anyway, just reach in and bend the plant how you would like it to grow...like when you are stretching a muscle...a little, then a little more...then a little farther...because you don't want to snap pieces off...I often do though..which is alright too...

Right on right on...you beat me to it...anyway...I saw a guy using like 2 straight sticks stuck crass angled against each other and the plant and then stuck in the dirt...so the branch would be gently pinched between the 2 support sticks..honestly I have gotten the best results with hemp twine and screws in the side of the pot...you can be more creative...and the string I find is less likely to snap plant bits off like my fingers do...

I read about that on a different thread a while back and I have been bending the stems just back and forth and also blowing air at them to mimic the wind. They are still on week 1 btw.

shit outside just go over and knock the plant over...it will grow up a whole bunch of branches upwards...the wind does it often for you...more like super cropping if you want to call it anything I guess...you just bend the whole plant over at some point along the way...you start with one stalk, that will end with 2x as many branches as nodes it was tall before getting knocked over...so if the plant is 10 nodes tall and you go and just bend the main stalk back towards the ground like you are pissed off at it, the plant will then grow up 20 tops from those 10 nodes...or use just random stakes...or rocks...or something...and---and it is easy as cake to clone outside too...a lot of people don't know...but once the plant starts branching if you have trained the plant low to the ground you can take a low branch and semi break it off the main and then stick it in the ground...or like break a branch over onto the ground and cover the broken part of the branch with dirt while it is still attached to the main, but also in the dirt and wounded...the plant will send hormones to heal while the dangling in the dirt part will still be getting fed and watered, but will also usually think it is dying just enough to try and grow roots..

Idk about this because I dont want to cause any hermaphrodites all I have now is some bagseed until my order comes in some are good strains some not but I have no clue about genetics.

no no no..carbon will release more nitrogen, until you hit the point where there is more carbon and then all the nitrogen is locked up...but using sugary things to flush with does remove more nitrogen during a flush, because it causes more to be released...until you hit the magical no more nitrogen point...so the key is using a huge amount of water anytime you flush, adding the sugar is for good measure, as again it causes more nitrogen to be released until you have more carbon then nitrogen and then there will be no nitrogen released...

I have found that you can manipulate cannabis plants about however you want and they will take it all in stride given the time to grow...so bend, cut, and train away...just don't like stress the poor plant to pieces all at once...but bending it over doesn't really do too much, other than reroute the growth back to make what was growing up to grow out instead...just like any other training...the cloning part was just an unimportant FYI...

what happens if no nitrogen is being released? Is carbon bad for the plant?
