Default first time grower needs help (badly)

im a first time grower working out of central new york looking for advice and tips for an outdoor grow as i have no idea what im doing. first off i planted my newly germed seeds upside down in my little jiffy greenhouse ( i was originally told when planting germinated seeds to put the white tendril up not down. as a result ive gone thru and flipped 3 or 4 of them as theyd already broken the surface of the medium. i was wondering if maybe i should go ahead and flip all of them or if gravity would correct this idiotic mistake. any help is greatly appreciated thank you very much

I always put the lil white legs of my seedlngs down and cover the rest very lightly with soil so they gain strength when poping through the soil but yes if you can turn them babies over so the white legs (roots) are pointing down, also keeps light from hitting the new root growth
    keep on growin

ok so if i decide not to flip them back ovr (mainly out of fear of breaking/killing them) then they should flip themselves ovr right? like the root will put it self back in and pull the embryotic leaves up all on its own ?? im rlly hoping so so that i dont have to undig them to flip but if not pls let me kno so i can fix them b4 they rot out under the surface

they will most likely flip themselves over but it takes a lot of energy for a seedling to do that and it may add a little time to your overall grow.

You really don't need to pre-germinate them outside of your medium. I always just soak for 15-20, sow them about a half inch deep, then wait for them to pop up on their own. In your case, since the seed has already cracked, I would just lay it down and lightly cover it with an inch or two of moist soil. The root will turn around and head to the bottom of the pot within a few days. Also its not uncommon to see a root circle a few times before it dives straight down. So if you see that, don't worry, just leave it alone.

ok thank you very much. also throughout the day ive started to get several 1st day sprouts that turned themselves b4 coming up which is nice i also have more seeds germing that i think i'm going to sow in tonight ill be taking pictures to upload and trying to keep this thread alive in case of future issues which im sure will arise as a result of being a newb. im also trying to find cheap nutes i can access at walmart (because i live in the middle of nowhere and nearest specialty shops are an hr. away on top of me being cheap) one for vegging and one i can put at the bottom of my holes for flowering later in the season any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

How often are you going to be visiting your plants?
