I STARTED A KINDA LATE MASTER KUSH GROW IN FLORIDA IN MY BACKYARD. IT SEEMS TO BE DOING VERY WELL RIGHT NOW AND GROWING QUITE RAPIDLY. I DIDNT EXPECT IT TO EVEN GROW OR LAST THIS LONG SO I DIDNT REALLY TIME MY SEASON RIGHT BUT IM HOPING WITH THE PROPER TLC I CAN MAKE IT WORK OUT. IT DOESNT GET REAL COLD HERE BUT I WAS TRYING TO GET SOME TIPS ON WAYS TO MAKE IT THROUGH THE WINTER SO I CAN SMOKE SOME DANK NUGS FOR CHRISTMAS. :joint:

Wassup, I am in South Fl and planted late in my backyard as well... October 25th to be exact. Is this fine? It doesn't get too cold here at all but I am worried about the plant actually finishing.

This is my first grow and I think I planted way too late. We basically already have 12hours of darkness here, does that mean my plant will flower as soon as it is big enough?

Thanks for the help

Your plant will go straight to flower with maturity of the plant usually 4 to 6 weeks to show sex. Now the bad news for ya'll living in Floriday most of life and growing outdoors as well, when the 21st of Dec comes and you are not finished flowering you have to start watching for hermies. The length of the day will get longer and your plant is going to sense this and be very confused. If you are in pots you can move inside at night or in ground cover the plant at night. Granted it will take a couple of weeks to notice the difference but just prepare yourselves for the solstice.
Good Luck to ya in Florida

Thanks alot. I just got done "fimming" my girl the other day and i also tied her down i saw that it creates a bozai effect i thought it might be cool to experiment with this one since its my first grow. Any comments on that? Im also thinking of moving my girl inside my shed under lights will this effect it at all? Thanks for the help i check daily to get different ideas. I love this site

Currently growing in Costa Rica (since 2007) I have been moving them inside each evening and outside each morning. I know it is a real pain in the ass but with growing conditions in the mountains it is the easiest way to ensure a harvest. So in doing this I can when the weather is really crappy outside, I can leave them inside under lights and move when the weather is good. I feel this is the best of both worlds and don't mind the extra work for my girls. Being in Florida and with your current temp swings in the fall this method should suit you to a tee. Just remember when moving inside at night or during the day to keep the air moving, small fan or something for the mold which will be a problem in still air. One last thing if your plants have been in the sun, allow them to cool down outside in the shade before you put inside. I say this because your girl will have much warmer leaves than the outside temp, radiate heating from the sun, sitting straight into the deep shade quickly or inside can cause condensation on your plant even if it is hard to see.
Best of Luck to you - off topic but since you are a floridian why do my dolpins suck so badly this year?
