yes, the birds.
this year i'm trying something new though. i had a plant in my yard that i seeded last year. i got 3 ounces of seeds off of it.

as i was watching it last year and the seeds were getting ripe i noticed something. when i hit the branches seeds would fall off. so basically i have seeds sprinkled all over that area of my backyard. i figure once these seeds start to sprout this spring then it's time. makes sense to me. the all natural time teller.
it looks like this right now. in a few months it will dry out and i will start crawling around looking for sprouts. this is a test.
