Anybody get BIG GDP yields?

Hey guys...

I was growing Gran Daddy Purple, Sour Diesel, Blue Dream and Strawberry Cough this year.. The Sour Diesel's got to about six foot tall with lots of tops / colas.. The Blue dreams got to about 6-7' with about half as many branches as the sour diesels but the buds were bigger / fatter. The Strawberry Coughs were MONStER huge, 7-8' tall and at least that big around.. Nothing quite like what JJ has going in his carport grow, but still very large for a guy used to growing indoor.. The grand daddies.. They just never really took off. 4' tall, one big cola on top and a bunch of little buds elsewhere.. I was not impressed.. The color was nice.. But the yield.. Meh...

My grow got ripped last week, I have been super busy and not participating much.. I have been meaning to ask about this. Is there a such thing as GDP that gets big and yields decently?

My gdp's have some of the fattest nugs in the garden, short n chunky. GDP is commercial hybrid of urkle (urkle X Big bud) for that very reason. I tie them all down and had 10-15 huge main colas on each plant...

you can get good yields from a GDP, but basically, it's always gonna be the smallest plant in the garden. They are just really slow growing plants. It's normal.

I created Hindu Kush/Grand Daddy seeds back crossed to Grand Daddy clones for several yrs and have managed to get my seeds just about pure. Last season each plant produced an average of 3 pounds outdoors and grew 5' high; seed to harvest in 20 weeks. They need alot of support due to the heavy and dense colas.

I also have an Mexican Auto/Grand Daddy strain that produces 1 oz per plant outdoors and grows to be 12" high; seed to harvest in 14 weeks.
