Default Stop Bugging Me
been growing outdoors for many a year. i used sprays and remedies for bugs up until this past season when i learned about predator bugs.

Bugs i've raised:

predator nematodes: these work in the soil. they come as a smudge of yellow paste on a sponge. mix with 1 gallon of fresh water. this can then be diluted further to cover larger areas. water plants with mixture. predator nematodes will eat any bug that spends any of it's life cycle in the soil. excellant for thrips.

pirate bugs: these come in a small pepper shaker. sprinkle onto soil. they hatch in a month or so, so apply early. once hatched they are a very small beetle that has a probiscus that they inject their prey with. they inject a fluid that melt the inside of prey and then is slurped up. good for aphids, thrips and mites.

ladybugs: they tend to fly away when food supply runs out. you can spray them with soda to glue their wings together, but that's just mean. i released them one time and they completely wiped out my mites. good for mites, aphids and thrips.

praying mantis: these are just all out fun. they come as a cluster of eggs that can take up to 8 weeks to hatch. but once they do they will eat everything including wasps. egg clusters contain up to 200 eggs. good for everything including the dreaded night moth.

all these were available to me at my nursery and grow store. they usually have to order them so you might have to ask if they carry Predator Bugs.
