Dying Overnight PLEASE HELP!!

Woke up this morning and one of my girls were wilted and dying FAST. I re-potted into a bigger container. When I pulled it out of the old container the bottom was saturated and soggy. Could that be some clue to the problem? I potted in miracle grow potting mix. Before this, I have been watering her about every three days and adding nutes every water because I thought she had N defficiency a week or so ago. Could that be it? Is it too late to bring her back? What can I do? The stalk isn't dry and most of the wilted leaves you see aren't dry either ( a few are though).Pictures show about 12hrs after re-potting but this is just how it looked before re-potting.

MG has long release nutes in it that are released every time you water your plant. You don't need to add any nutes until like mid flowering. So when you over water the plant like that, then you are over feeding it as well. On top of that your adding even more nutes to your girl. Your burning the hell out of her. And your soil isn't draining properly. You need to mix in at least 20% perlite to 80% MG soil your using for drainage. I would use more like 40% perlite to 60% MG soil straight out of the bag. That way you get plenty of drainage and oxygen to the roots.

Try again with regular potting soil and no added nutrients. Then when you get the basics down start slowly introducing nutrients.

wow that sucks, cant say i wasn't in your shoes my first time through lol. keep up the work, you had a good plant going, and its time to get some more

I let the soil dry. It didnt look like the problem was getting any worse so I just clipped all the dead leaves and re-started the proper watering cycle. She looks to be coming back to life. Limbs have turn back toward the sun and there's new growth sprouting at the joints. The leaves left that weren't dead have even pepped back up. I know the yield will be little to nothing but this one one of my first and I just cant give up on her. Is there anything else I should do at this point to help progression or am I just fighting a loosing battle? Here are some pics. Not a pretty site but at least I wont need any LST on this one. Dont think ANY part of the plant will have aproblem getting light

All those leafs on the new growth will get nice and big since they don't have to compete with light and nutrients. There are a lot of people who trim there plant up to almost nothing like that while in veg for better light penetration to the new growth. I think you'll be fine. Just watch your watering schedule and limit the nutes if you use any. Just watch your girl and take care of her.

So, here's another update on the one of my girls that almost didn't make it. It's been a little over three weeks and she's looking damn good. After I trimmed it down to nothing, I took my first shot at LST and reduced nutes. It's been growing like crazy every since. The yield wont be near as much but the reward of winning a loosing battle is priceless:D

It's obvious you've learned from your mistakes.

Adding extra nutes to prenuted potting mix is a very common mistake for beginners.

I've always used cheap, unnuted potting mix(Usually Ace Hardware's 1.5 cubic feet potting soil), and add nutes as needed. Generally, every two or three waterings, or once a week.

Feed lightly and frequently, for best results.

Try not to leave feeding to chance.

It saves grief.

Your right. And I had her in a pot barely big enough for an african violet:lol:
