I'm having to go to a different spot this year, and am only going to be doing my 6 plants that are legal on my script. It's a good thing, cause last year, sure, I had 18 plants of my own, but I had to grow 46 to get it.This year I can pour my heart and soul into these 6 plants, and make em' as nice as possible.
I'm growing in 200 gallon smart pots, and 100% organic, like last year, but I'm using 50/50 cocoa/soil mix. I'll get into all that is going into that when I have pics of it all going in. I'm strating with a raw piece of ground, that's unlevel as you can see, so I have to start by weedeating all the grass down, cutting a couple small trees, and hauling sand down there to make a level base for the smartpots.
I'm growing the Romulan, that was so successful last year, and 1 Blue Dream, and that's it! The one plant in the middle of the one pic, is the Rommy Mommy, the one outside is the Blue Deam, and the ones under the UFO in the greenhouse, are the other Romulans. I have my wifes script along with my little brothers on an indoor 8x8 room that I'm doing with him, that we just put into flower. I can use the indoor room to produce my seed strains I'm working on, and have my variety of strains that I like to have, so I can grow all these Romulan outside, without worrying about getting tired of it. I'll be updating this regularly, and I'm getting soil delivered tomorrow, so maybe more pics then.

OK, what I have here is the base soil mix I'm usuing. I have 200 gallon smart pots, which hold 1 yrd. of soil, or 18-20 bgs @ 1.5cu.ft. bags.
So, each smart pot will get, 7 bags (1.5cu. ft. ea.) of Manna Mix, which is a cocoa based planting mix, with organics added (compost, bat guano, worm castings).
Each will get 1 bale of compost (3 cu. ft.)
1 bag of worm castings (1.5 cu. ft.)
Half a bag of perlite (1.5 cu. ft. )
Half bag of vermiculite (1.5cu.ft.)
Equivalency to 6 bags @ (1.5 cu.ft.) Soil mix
The soil mix is actually 50/50 Humus/potting soil, so there will actually be less than 25% soil in the mix. I will be adding organic amendments to the mix as well, and I will list them, when I get em' all rounded up so I can get pics.
To answer that Q. The pics were taken from one side so I don't get the landowners house in the pics, so it's not THAT far down the hill, but it's far enough! I have to use a small tractor with a small trailer to haul it all down. It will be time consuming hand mixing all this as I put it all in, but I'll be sure to get the ammendments in the pot where I want them, and mixed well otherwise, so good control of how it's structured from bottom to top, will be a big plus.
I'll be feeding only organic teas and kelp, again this season, and will get in more depth how I go about all that is coming this season too, so stay tuned!

IMG_1322.jpgIMG_1323.jpgIMG_1317.jpgIMG_1316.jpgIMG_1318.jpgok, I finally got back over there, and cut down a tree, moved the cow fence, weedeated the whole area, and now started leveling and filling my bags. The slope's not too bad, so a little diggin', and a little sand here and there....I've got em' set! I'll be back there tomorrow, filling the smart pots a little at a time, which I like, cause I get to layer my ammendments in, in zones, just the way I want it. I'll update tomorrow as I start putting in the ammendments, today, 1 bag of worm castings, half a bale of compost, 1/3 of a bag of perlite, went in each bag, except the 2 that I have to wait and do last so I can get the tractor and little trailer down to em'.
Coming along, slowly but surely.

Dude, you know 5 gallon buckets would work just as well... ;) (Inside joke)

Yes, going to be a sick thread for sure...Big shoes to fill since The Big 40 ended up working out so well.

hehehe, I know, I know, I just like wasting a yrd of super expensive soil on each plant, plus ammendments for the heck of it! hahah! oh man, that's too funny. Yea, I got alot to live up to after last year, but the lady that owns that property over there,...well, as it turns out, she's a money grubbin' fool that cares NOTHING about the herb, only the $$$. So, our relationship ended right there, as she didn't want to grow more till she SOLD all she had. If I would've known that goin' in, I would've never worked with her to start with. Oh well, such is life. This year is gonna be alot easier on me for sure, and 6 plants gettin' all my love.....it'll pay off I think! Plus, we just rented a new property ourselves and I'll be in the process of moving so it's gonna work out in the long run. And just so every one knows....6 plants, I'm shootin' for 5lbs each so 30 total....big dream, but I know it can be done.

Yea, I am a Sativa lover, but I love my indicas too. I just grow those indoors, cause they don't usually get as big as a good hybrid does. 5 Romulans and a Blue Dream here, but I have Agent Orange x OG (MY CROSS) LA Con x MK Ultra (my cross) LA Con, Cateract Kush, Maple Leaf Indica are a few Indicas I grow on the regular. I also grow GDP, and Bubba Kush for some of my Indica needs.
