what is a good mix of things to use for soil? i am going to be digging holes and filling them with soil outdoors, and i want to know a good mix.

for example:

60% potting soil
10% peat moss
etc...etc...etc...

im trying to do it as cheap as possible because im going to need a lot.

50% Pro-mix
25% perlite
25% wormcastings

or

Mix in the portions of 50% promix, 35% perlite and 15% vermiculite.

I was looking at the pro-mix and it has vermiculite, and perlite already in it. Do you still mix 15% Vermic. and 35% Perlite to the 50% Pro-mix?

Those were two different mixes used by two different people I know. I don't use either of those. I just stick to the bag period.

so you just use pure potting soil? or a bag with soil/nutrients?

Does anyone know if i should mix dolimite lime and perlite to Fox Farm Ocean
Forest or if I would be better off just leaving it alone they way it is? I also would like to mix bone meal and peat moss to mix through. I need to know if this is a good ideal or if it is bad for the plants

7% peat moss
3% sand

Seen this used in large quantities with success when cost is an issue
