I'm a little ways north from MA, so the weather may be a bit different. From what I got on the weather channel is looks to be rainy all week, but there's going to be a close ration of rain to sun. If it rains straight for more than 4-5 days in a row with NO sun you might be in trouble.

Watch the news/weather closely, but take it with a grain of salt. I'm my opinion this time is the most stressfull time for growers. Soooo much to worry about.

I hope all have a bright future with no mold!

i am not sure where your outside grow is and how safe it is. one thing you can do it your concerned about the weather is to cover her with plastic and allow the heat to be trapped in and keep her warmer longer at night. also if there is a chance of frost you can water her heavy right before the sun goes down and this will also protect her from frost. kind of insolates her and the frost sticks to the water not the plant. many farmers do this to their crops in early spring it let them get planted sooner. hope this gives you the extra week or so you need

tuxedotoker ya you seem to be in my boots with the weather i'm near the white mountains and it's suppose to be rainy all week next week so they say but ya i'm taking it with a grain of salt at the moment but if i have to pull early a few days shouldn't hurt my overall yield would it?

Eh, wait it out as long as you can. Chopping early is never really a good thing. I have faith the weather will be on our side(maybe)

although, I just read your around the white mountains. Weather can change like CRAZY up there. In my opinion, we should have 2 solid weeks left being safe(maybe even sooner where you are).

Plan for the worst.

ps- post up some photos when you can or able to.

Living in the downeast(ME) and hoping for at least 3+ weeks of grow season. I've read in multiple places that going through a few light frosts makes the plant produce more resin to protect itself from the cold...got a white rhino and lemon skunk both nearing 6 ft.

I always have to worry about bud rot and mold more than frost. Last year I went close to Halloween, and had to harvest due to mold. I agree with the others, harvest when mother nature "makes you". These are truely the "packing on weight" days.

Talk about bad had a plant tip being too heavy it must be atleast 6'6" had to stake it . Still shocked cause the stem is huge I didn't think it would be so crazy . Buds could use a few more weeks too :( hope I don't have to chop her early .

went out today and what did i find bud rot on my mango and one of my SD and it hasn't even rained for 7 days or more think i'm going to pull before all that rain coming our way it sucks i'm not going to get the weight i wanted off my plants  but i get really toasted off the nuggets did a quick dry on some had a broken branch on the mango so had some smoke and it's pretty potent not ready but gets you pretty high I'm going to be giving them about4 more days then chop don't want to lose these to mold. but the SD have amber trichs coming in and they are more solid nugs then my mango

(I'm in MA) I found a small chunk of mold in a bud on Saturday (9/25) but I didn't worry too much about it. Then it rained Sunday night into Monday and I haven't checked them since. They are still in pots so I'll probably try to drag them into my shed tonight since it's supposed to rain for the next two days. I could harvest them now since trichomes have started clouding up but I'd LOVE to go another 3 weeks. Anyone know how bad it would be for the plant to spend a week or two in a dimly lit shed? I would think it could only help the potency if not the yield.

Yesterday (Tues 9/28) I found another chunk of mold eating one of my girls so I chopped the top 1/2 off the plant. The mold was in the cola, so I wanted to get it drying ASAP. I kept them in containers so I moved them into my shed two nights ago. I've been bringing them out when it's sunny (all day today) and putting them in at night. The cola I chopped had another chunk of mold today. If I get more tomorrow I may speed the drying process with a dehydrator.

I got 1 small(18" started late June from seed) bagseed plant , didn't start flowering till mid august- the last to show of 6 other 5 were male-Im thinking it has heavy sativa phenos so I'm hoping to get to 3rd week of Oct. at the earliest and I'm not too worried. I didnt plant in the best area so covering isnt an option it would be way to obvious. One thing you can do is pile rocks around the plant and they will get heated by the sun during the day and hold some heat through the night, works good as long as it dosent get too cold.

I put a temp green house around my trees. And planning to put a small electrical heater to extend the grow till the beginning of november. Does anyone have experience with electrical heaters in a green house?

Man the shit winds have been blowing crazy over the past few weeks I had to tie some girls down because of the excessive winds, especially with the plants being top heavy they were taking a beating like they owed mother nature money...
